The case of a bribe taking inspector of a police station in Gaya district of Bihar has come to light. Bihar Police has taken strict action against a bribe taking inspector in line with its zero tolerance policy against corruption. This action took place when the victim reached Gaya district’s Senior SP Ashish Bharti with his complaint. After investigation, the bribe taking inspector was immediately suspended. This entire matter is of Vishnupad police station of Gaya district.

Yesterday, a complaint was received in the office of Senior SP Ashish Bharti of Gaya district. Inspector Gulshan Kumar posted at Vishnupad police station had caught a vehicle in an inebriated state. After arresting the driver, the vehicle was released after taking bribe. Seeing the seriousness of the matter, the senior SP leader directed Additional Superintendent of Police (City) cum Deputy Superintendent of City Police-1 to investigate the matter. After investigation, Inspector Gulshan Kumar of Vishnupad police station found the allegations to be true. After completion of the investigation, Senior SP suspended Inspector Gulshan Kumar with immediate effect and departmental action was ordered against him. Besides, clarification has also been sought from the accused inspector.

By taking such action, Gaya Police has given a clear message that there will be no compromise against corruption. In this regard, Senior SP Ashish Bharti said that Gaya Police is fully committed to serving the citizens and ensuring justice. This action of Gaya Police against corruption has become a topic of discussion among the people.
